Students, please be aware that this Wed., Nov. 25^th will be a minimum day. School will start at 8 a.m. and end at 12 noon. This Thursday & Friday there will be NO school because of the Thanksgiving Holiday. – Bailey

COLLEGE AND CAREER

Seniors. A week from Monday (NOV 30) is the deadline to submit the CSU and UC applications. Since, most CSU and UC campuses will be closed next week due to Thanksgiving break and mandated furlough days, plan to get your applications done by Wednesday so that the Carlmont Counselors have time to help you in case you run into any problems. – Dominguez

Seniors: Applying to college is expensive. It costs $60 per UC campus, $55 for CSU campuses, and private college applications range from $0 to $80 dollars each. Visit the College Center if you need (and think you may qualify) for College Application Fee Waivers. - Dominguez

This means they are going to be very strict about denying students who do not apply on time and those who do not send in the documents they ask for by the campus deadlines. The Food Service Department is processing free and reduced applications daily. New applications should be filled out every school year, unless we have personally told you that you are directly certified. Please turn in applications to the kitchen. When applications are processed, confirmation letters are sent home. If you haven't received you letter or have any questions about the process please call Tracy McGuinness at 650-595-0210 Ext. 3322. - McGuinness

TODAY IS PICTURE MAKE - UP DAY!

For students that did NOT get their school picture/ID photo taken at Arena Check-in, you will be able to do so TODAY. ALL STUDENTS who have not taken a school picture, even if you do not intend to order school pictures, NEED TO HAVE THEIR PHOTO TAKEN TODAY.

If you DO NOT have a school ID yet, you need a Temporary ID. Come to the Administration office, BEFORE school and receive a temporary ID from Ms. Eggli. School ID's are mandatory and need to be visible at all times.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! Get some practice before you take the SAT. There will be a MOCK SAT, given by Revolution Prep., on Saturday, September 19th from 9am - 1pm in the Student Union. The cost is $20. Sign up with Ms. McKee in room D21. - McKee

Attention Freshmen: If you pre-ordered a Class of 2013 T-shirt, you can pick it up in the Student Store at lunch time today. There are a limited number of extra T-shirts for sale, so come to the Student Store if you want to buy one. They are $10 each and PE approved.

All boy's interested in trying our for the Varsity, Frosh-Soph or Freshman basketball teams should attend the sign-up meeting this Thursday, September 3 at the beginning of the lunch period in the main gym. - Low

IMPORTANT INFO

Student Drivers: Parking permits for the Senior Lot are NOW ON SALE in the treasurer's office in room A9. Permits will be sold first come first serve, so make sure you have your application filled out, your driver's license and current proof of insurance. Permits for the church lots are ON HOLD until further notice as we are waiting for some paperwork to be signed. An announcement will be made when church permits are available. Parking enforcement begins Monday, September 7th. If you do not have a permit purchased and displayed in your vehicle by September 7th, you risk getting booted, ticketed, or towed! - Gillogly

OTHER

The 48th Annual United States Senate Youth Program will be held in Washington, DC from March 6th - 13th, 2009. Two students from each state will be selected as delegates to this prestigious gathering. Students will be able to experience the workings of the Senate in person.

Juniors & Seniors that are serving in an elected capacity in student government, civic or educational offices are eligible to apply for the Program.
