All October Math students of the Month winners:   Come to room E-16 at the very beginning of lunch to get your picture taken.  Congratulations! - Mills

 

The canned food drive is going on now! If you want to help your fellow students, staff and others in our local community, donate canned food! The first canned food collection will be on Nov 16th. You can leave your donations in your 4th period class or the designated bins around campus.  – Kelly

 

All Creative reWriters and students interested in checking out the reWriters club, plan on attending Thursday's lunchtime meeting in A-16. We will hear what Rafael Ojeda thought of our last editing session of his poems,

and we'll move on to editing Amanda Governale's original work. Soon, we will hear and edit poetry written by Griffin Coe. -  Wallace

 

Attention all Medical/Science Magnet Program students who are attending the field trip to Sequoia Hospital on November 18th.  Your permission slips are due; they are actually overdue, so please turn them in immediately to Mrs. Simpson in Room D-4.  Turn those permission slips in now.  -  Simpson

 

No one likes to think about sexual violence, but it is real, and happening to young women everyday.  On Tuesday, November 24th, Carlmont S.O.S. will present   "No Woman Left Behind" from: 7pm until 9pm in the Carlmont Performing Arts Center.  Most teachers will be giving extra credit for student attendance.  Come hear personal stories and be part of the effort to end this growing trend. – Bustamante

 

CLASS INFO

 

Seniors!!!  Do you need a letter of recommendation from your guidance counselor for either a private college or a scholarship?  If so, the deadline to turn in your request for letter of recommendation packet is December 1st.  Once again, December 1st is the deadline for any type of letter of recommendation.  If you need a new packet, please see Mrs. Dominguez in the College Center. – DePaoli

 

Attention 10th Grade Students:  This week you will be receiving study guides for the March 2010 CAHSEE in your regular English and math classes.  These guides are intended for you to use at home to prepare for this important test.  You must pass both the English and the math portions of CAHSEE in order to receive a high school diploma. – Bailey

PERFORMING ARTS

 

The Carlmont High School production of The Diary of Anne Frank is THIS WEEK!  Don't miss out! This tender, inspiring drama will be at the Carlmont Performing Arts Center on this Thursday through Saturday, November 12 - 14 at 7pm and Sunday, November 15 at 2pm.  The Diary of Anne Frank will transport you back to the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands.  Join Anne Frank's family and friends while they battle fear, experience love and maintain their hope in mankind as they hide for two years from Nazi soldiers.
