The Carlmont Hip Hop Squad is holding tryouts on May 28th. You’ve seen them perform at games and assemblies and here is your chance to be apart of the team! Tryouts will be held in the dance studio at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, may 28th. Make sure that you come in dance attire and be on time. If you have any questions, talk to Sarah Cox or Sofie Zarrabi. Look for the flyers around school! - Reed

Join AVID at Chevys in Redwood City tonight!  Get a flyer from an AVID teacher or our website. - Hero

All Key Club members - there is a meeting today at lunch to finalize arrangements for Special Games and Hometown Days, as well as to pack cookies for the Hometown Days cookie sale.  We'll see you there! - Poliszuk

Listen up Students! This Friday, May 16th, all library books are due!
May 23 - Library closes for Textbook Collection.  Students will be welcome to study as long as space is available. -  Laine

SPORTS

There is a Boys Basketball sign up meeting on Wednesday, May 21 at 12:15pm, in the weight room. All boys interested in trying out next year should attend this meeting. - Low

Attention all girls interested in playing summer basketball. There is a mandatory meeting in the gym on Wednesday May 21st at the beginning of lunch. - Coach O.

PERFORMING ARTS

Please pick up an information sheet from Ms. Secrist if you're interested in auditioning for Intermediate or Advanced Dance for the 2008-09 school year.  The completed sheet needs to be returned no later than 7* Wednesday May 22nd 2008.  Auditions for incoming freshman will be held Thursday May 22nd from 4pm-7pm and for current students, Friday May 23rd from 4pm - 7pm in the dance studio. - Secrist

Seniors and Parents of Seniors.  Check the Carlmont website for all information on Senior Activities for the rest of the year including Graduation information, Senior Picnic, Baccalaureate, Service Seal Points, Senior Takeover Day, and Senior Finals.  It's all there!  Go to carlmont.seq.org for everything you need to know about Senior Activities. - Kelly

CLUBS AND PROGRAMS

Want to learn how to play like T.T.?  Then come to the soccer club at the field during lunch TODAY. – Doss

The math student of the month pictures will be taken in room E-11 at the beginning of lunch. – Tsuchiyama

CSF Members:  You can still earn service hours for this year!  Volunteers are needed for the Multicultural Fair at Ralston Middle School on May 16 for set up or May 17 from 12 - 4pm.  Please come by room D-12 or E-15 at lunch to sign up - the deadline for sign-ups is TODAY.  -   Callan

Do you need a little fun in your Friday Night?  What could be more fun than seeing your face on the Jumbotron at SBC Park?  Seeing your face AND Mr. Raffa's on the Jumbortron.  Buy tickets for the Third Annual Carlmont Night at the Giants - Friday, May 9th (this Friday) vs. the Phillies.  Tickets are $22 and are available in the Guidance Office from Ms. DePaoli or room D21 from Ms. McKee. – McKee

Attention Students! Are you are interested in being on the San Carlos Youth Advisory Council? The youth council board deals with youth concerns and issues in the community. This is a great opportunity to get involved! If you are interested, please pick up an application in the front of the Administration office with Ms. Chamorro. The deadline to turn in your application is May 9th. - Jenoff

All returning girls volleyball players and those girls interested in trying out for volleyball next fall need to attend a mandatory meeting in T-3 TODAY at the beginning of lunch.  – Cho

CLASS INFO

Senior Service Seals.  If you want a Gold, Silver, or Bronze seal on your diploma, you need to turn in your Service Seal form to Mr. Kelly by next Friday, May 9.  If you have lost the form from your Social Studies class, you can download one from the Carlmont Website.  - Kelly

Senior Picnic.  Are you going to the Senior Picnic?  Water slides...a lake....grass area...beach....  If you want to go, you need to turn in your permission slip (from Social Studies class or online) with $15.00 to Mr. Kelly by May 14. - Kelly

Senior Takeover Day.  If you want to take over a teacher or staff member's job for a day, May 21, talk to that person.  If they agree, tell them to email Mr. Kelly - Kelly
