Page 1 of 2 The eScrip program is a fundraising program that allows participating merchants to contribute a percentage card purchases to the organization of your choice.
Here's the way it works:
- You register your organization.
- Supporters register any or all of their existing debit/credit cards for use in the program. For example, you can register just one card - your Safeway card.
- Next time you shop, using your registered cards, a percentage of your purchase will go to the organization you designate.
- Everything is done electronically.
- The company that runs Escrip is ESI, based in San Mateo.
- ESI takes care of all bookkeeping and deposits for you. Each participant will receive a regular summary report showing their eScrip program transactions and the amount contributed by the merchants to your organization. Your organization will also receive a monthly, consolidated report showing the amount contributed by each supporter. All merchant donations are deposited into your organization's account monthly.
By using these registered cards at participating merchants, supporters generate donations based on a percentage of purchases as determined by each merchant or service provider.
Safeway Tiered Contribution Structure:
- 2% on monthly purchase between $0.00 @ 200.00
- 3% on monthly purchase between $200.00 @ 300.00
- 4% on monthly purchase above $300.00
