Attention all Medical/Science Magnet Program students who are attending the field trip to Sequoia Hospital on November 18th.  Your permission slips are due; they are actually overdue, so please turn them in immediately to Mrs. Simpson in Room D-4.  Turn those permission slips in now.  -  Simpson

Hey Look! It’s another announcement about ID’s!! You know what that means….WEAR ‘EM! Does it matter if everybody knows you? Nope, you gotta wear your ID. Does it matter if it is in your backpack? Nope. Wear it!  ID’s need to be on, so put them on! – Your Friendly Administration

Creative Arts Club members, make sure to bring one of your creative pieces today in A-2 at lunch, whether it is a drawing, photo, video, or poem.  We will begin sharing and discussing each other's works.  Also, if we happen to have time, everyone will participate in the discussion of our Japan town trip over Thanksgiving.  Hope to see you on Friday! – Langkusch

Are you having a bad week or going through a tough time? Would you like someone to pray for you? Put your requests in the Prayer box located in Ms. Bustamante’s office. The Christian Club and local pastors will be praying for your requests. – Redmon

No one likes to think about sexual violence, but it is real, and happening to young women everyday.  On Tuesday, November 24th, Carlmont S.O.S. will present   "No Woman Left Behind" from: 7pm until 9pm in the Carlmont Performing Arts Center.  Most teachers will be giving extra credit for student attendance.  Come hear personal stories and be part of the effort to end this growing trend. – Bustamante

Please return your library books. All books are due 2 weeks from check-out. You are charged 5 cents a day for overdue books. Lists are being made now for overdue books. -  Schadler

PERFORMING ARTS

The Carlmont High School production of The Diary of Anne Frank is coming NEXT WEEK!  This tender, inspiring drama will be at the Carlmont Performing Arts Center on November 12 - 14 at 7pm, November 15 at 2pm.  The Diary of Anne Frank is based on the writings from a diary written by Jewish teenager while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Whether you have read the book or seen the movie, you will still get a unique perspective of this experience by living in the moment with the actors. Support your fellow students who have spent numerous hours to put on this moving production by purchasing tickets today online at www.carlmontperformingarts.com or buying tickets at the door 1 hour prior to the performance.

Text Messaging Alert System

The Belmont Safe Schools Text Messaging Alert System, allows students, parents, relatives & school staff to receive important messages from their school or from Belmont PD, over their mobile devices (cell phone, smart phone, PDA, etc...). The system can be used to advise of school closures, traffic issues, and incidents on or near campus, etc... Because it is a text message, which goes to a mobile device, subscribers can receive the message if they are in class, the library, their dorm/apt or off campus. Subscribers sign up at their school's website and are in the system until they remove themselves, so for example, an incoming student and their family only have to sign up once during their years as a student at that school. Subscribers can remove themselves at any time. This system received initial funding from the City of Belmont as part of its Disaster Preparedness efforts and is maintained through the Belmont Safe Schools Program.
