8th Grade Transition Program
Carlmont High School

The Carlmont High School 8th Grade Transition Program, part of the PTSA, was formed to provide information to middle school students and their parents about the opportunities for learning at Carlmont High School. The 8th Grade Transition Committee is comprised of the Principal of Carlmont High School and up to nine parent volunteers representing Carlmont's feeder communities.

Carlmont Corner - February 2008

Thank you to all the 8th grade families who attended the Parent/Student coffees during the month of January.  Those of you who heard from Principal Andrea Jenoff and the panel of teachers and students know that Carlmont students and staff are very proud of their school. All of your questions are greatly appreciated.

Carlmont Open House, April 3, 2008

All interested parents and students are welcome to join us for Open House at Carlmont on Thursday, April 3rd from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  This will be an excellent opportunity to visit classes and see presentations by students in various subject areas.  We will also be offering tours of the campus that evening before Open House begins to interested prospective students and their families.  Tours will start at 6:15 pm.  Watch for more details on these tours.

Registration for Carlmont

Carlmont’s Guidance Department is currently putting together the registration information for 8thgraders who will be entering Carlmont in the fall.  Please expect this very important packet in late February. They will be distributed to your students at the middle schools. Eighth grade students and their parents will be asked to complete a four-year plan which includes requested classes, core and electives for freshman year.  Sometime in mid-March the guidance department will visit the middle schools to assist with class selection.
