Carlmont High School offers a wide range of clubs, after-school activities, and enrichment programs to interest every student. We are a closed campus, so the lunch hour provides time for clubs, rallies, sports, and entertainment for the students. Additionally, the Associated Student Body organizes casual and formal dances, community service projects, and fun events.
Leadership:
Student government is open to all. Students elect Associated Student Body (ASB) officers as well as class officers, and there are numerous volunteer positions. A Leadership Class is open to student government officers. Carlmont Board of Student Affairs (CBOSA) ensures that every student has a voice in Government and Carlmont life.

Performing and Visual Arts:
The Instrumental Music program has a decades-long history of excellence. Performing musical groups include Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Band, all of which regularly receive superior ratings at CMEA (California Music Educators Association) Festivals. There is also a piano class offered for students interested in learning keyboard musicianship. This year, the instrumental groups will join the choirs on a music department tour in the spring.
Choral Music is a dynamic and growing area with five different choral groups: Women's Choir, Treble Clef, Men's Choir, Chamber Singers and Snow Choir. All of the choral groups received extremely high scores at several choral compteitions in the past year. The choral groups tour every spring to perform at a variety of venues.
Carlmont's Dance program is very popular and offers classes from beginning to advanced. The more advanced classes participate in an extensive dance show in the spring that features a wide variety of student-choreographed productions.

Carlmont's Visual Arts program continues to grow. Courses are offered in Drawing, Painting, 3D Design, Ceramics, Photography, Computer Graphics, AP Art History and AP Studio Art. Student artwork is displayed at an art show during Open House in the spring.
