SPORTS
Do you need a Pre-Sports Physical? Come to BAK Physical Therapy on Saturday May 31st from 8:30 - 11:30a.m., located at 705 Oak Grove Avenue in Menlo Park. The cost is $20 and this physical is valid for the entire 2008-2009 school year for all fall, winter and spring sports. Any questions, please call 650-363-5674. - Low
CLUBS AND PROGRAMS
CSF Members: You can still earn service hours for this year! Volunteers are need for the Multicultural Fair at Ralston Middle School on May 16 for set up or May 17 from 12 - 4pm. Please come by room D-12 or E-15 at lunch to sign up - the deadline for sign-ups is May 7th. - Callan

May 5 (TODAY) - The last day to check out library books.
MAY 16 - ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE!
May 23 - Library closes for Textbook Collection. Students will be welcome to study as long as space is available. - Laine
Students: Have you dropped a class this past school year? If so, return those textbooks ASAP to the Textbook Room. You will return all other textbooks to your teachers at the end of the year. If you are unsure of what textbooks you have checked out, come into the Textbook Room and we will provide you with a printout of your account. Laine

Carlmont offers a fantastic assortment of curricular and extra-curricular activities, sports and events.

Please pick up an information sheet from Ms. Secrist if you're interested in auditioning for Intermediate or Advanced Dance for the 2008-09 school year. The completed sheet needs to be returned no later than 7* Wednesday May 22nd 2008 via email or my staff mailbox. You can download the form here . Auditions for incoming freshman will be held Thursday May 22nd from 4pm-7pm and for current students, Friday May 23rd from 4pm - 7pm in the dance studio. - Secrist

Carlmont is planning another trip to CHINA. The tentative dates for this trip are July 13- 22, 2008. Participants will visit the cities of Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi and Jiangyin. The current itinerary includes visiting famous culture heritages & high spots and Carlmont's sister schools. You will get the chance to experience excellent authentic Chinese cuisine and be surrounded by Chinese culture. We are negotiating with our travel contact to get the best possible pricing for this great trip, and individual prices will be determined by the number of students that are participating. Come to the treasurer's office for a flyer and more details!

Graduation Information
Distribution of Caps and Gowns will be on Wednesday, May 28. At lunch and after school in the Quad. All late orders (after April 14) will be distributed on Wednesday, June 4 at 9:30 am in The Glen.
Graduation Photos - Parents...You can pre-register with our Graduation photographer to ensure that you receive proofs of your son or daughter at graduation within one day of the ceremony. Simply go to www.bobknightphoto.com/register . All proofs will be otherwise mailed to the current home address that we have on file.

- No Tickets for event. Seating is first come, first served.
SENIOR SERVICE SEAL POINTS
- Earn a gold, silver, or bronze seal on your diploma
- Complete the Service Seal Form
- Return to Mr. Kelly by May 9

- Friday, June 6, 10:00 am in the Glen (rain or shine)
- Seating is on a first come, first served basis. NO RESERVING SEATS!

ability. Studies show that students involved in co-curricular
activities (such as clubs) perform better in school.

Friends of Millard Fillmore is a club that
competes in a local area annual trivia hunt. This hunt usually consists
of teams from about ten local schools, both private and public. The
hunt was created by retired Carlmont faculty member Bob Hunter to teach
students research skills in a fun and competitive way. It has been
taking place every February for the last 39 years.

Carlmont High School offers a wide range of clubs, after-school activities, and enrichment programs to interest every student. We are a closed campus, so the lunch hour provides time for clubs, rallies, sports, and entertainment for the students. Additionally, the Associated Student Body organizes casual and formal dances, community service projects, and fun events.
